ProgettiPlant creates a cutting-edge healthcare hub.
Since 1971, SE.FA.MO. has been a point of reference for clinical analysis in Vicenza. An accredited laboratory that has grown over time to become one of the most important in the Veneto region, it has always kept quality, diagnostic reliability, and local service at its core.
Today, SE.FA.MO. has approximately 120 collection points distributed throughout Northern Italy, with a strong presence in Veneto. Blood samples are collected through these points and then analyzed in the central laboratory, where both routine tests and advanced diagnostic investigations are performed, in addition to specialist medical visits in various branches of medicine.
To support this growth and further consolidate its operational structure, the new headquarters in Torri di Quartesolo was established. Designed and built by ProgettiPlant, the project was managed with a “turnkey” formula, covering everything from architectural design and systems engineering to final delivery in a record time of 12 months, including the planning phase.
The intervention involved the complete redevelopment of approximately 2,000 square meters, intended to house the analysis laboratory and the facility’s executive offices.
The project included:
- complete construction work, from demolition to new subfloors, through to the creation of internal partitions in plasterboard and glass;
- interior finishes with technical PVC flooring and painting;
- full installation of electrical and plumbing systems.
Particular attention was paid to engineering systems, a central element for the correct functioning of a clinical analysis laboratory. The building has been equipped with high-performance technological systems, custom-designed to ensure operational precision, safety, and service continuity.
Among the main features:
- compartmentalized HVAC system, with heat pumps, chillers, and dedicated air handling units;
- electrical system and lighting designed specifically for healthcare environments;
- integrated security systems with video surveillance, alarms, and access control;
- dedicated network for the distribution and collection of special waste from laboratory equipment;

- a 30 cubic meters cold room for the optimal storage of reagents.
The project was conceived to create a high-performance healthcare space, capable of guaranteeing high standards of safety, energy efficiency, and operational continuity, while simultaneously ensuring a comfortable working environment for the staff.
With this new operational headquarters, SE.FA.MO. further strengthens its role of excellence within the laboratory diagnostics landscape in Veneto.
